They don't have a clue
The Government has dragged the country towards a disaster. While the Tories push for a deal just to avoid a party split, local plans and priorities in Wiltshire are being distorted to favour a Brexit that nobody wants.
Does anyone believe the Government's promises to end austerity? In the last year, support for local services have continued to be cut with schools and local NHS trusts suffering at every point. Despite clever words, our road budgets are being reduced, police and fire services cut while investment in social and community care is at rock bottom.
Brexit is not only draining the country of money, it is also taking focus away from our day to day needs. The number of civil servants and local authority employees who have been seconded to deliver the Tory no-deal plan has been astonishing. At both national and local level resources are diverted to plan for emergency ferry services, emergency food supplies, drug banks and other pointless facilities that we wouldn't need if we remained in Europe.
Soft Brexit or hard Brexit? It's time to stop and take stock. While the Tories are tearing themselves apart over the issue and Labour continues to aimlessly ponder a tepid response, Liberal Democrats are the only party who continue to campaign to stop this pointless waste and seek a vote to reverse this flawed and tragic decision.
We see the UK remain at the heart of Europe, contributing to Europe's stability, providing leadership and feeding into the development of the Continent. We see the continuation of open borders as critical for business, for culture, for learning and the quality of our lives. Membership of the EU affords continued opportunities for our children and for future generations. Brexit closes the door and removes a very important route for cultural exchange.
We have consistently campaigned to stop Brexit and will seek to work with other groups who share our view. It's time for you to consider - is this the right time to come and support us?
However, a vote for us is much more than a vote to remain in Europe see our current campaigns.
