Devizes select Manda Rigby for PPC

At a well- attended meeting near Marlborough, LibDems throughout the constituency of Devizes chose Manda Rigby as their PPC for the general election in May 2015.

Sue Knowles, Chair of the constituency welcomed Manda as Devizes PPC. "Manda has demonstrated both a commitment to the wider area, and to the LibDem party over many years. We look forward to working with her to offer voters the choice to vote for a person and a party dedicated to fairness, and working tirelessly on their behalf."

Manda Rigby added "I am honoured to have been chosen to fight this seat for the Libdems. From the many villages and rural areas, to the main towns, this varied area has both challenges and strengths I am well suited to handle, and I am delighted to have the opportunity."

Manda Rigby lives in Bath and is currently a councillor on Bath and North East Somerset council. In that role she is Deputy Group Leader for the Libdems, and Chairs the Licensing authority. She is no stranger to the Devizes area, visiting friends, as she has had connections with the West country since the early 80s when she went to Bristol university. Her previous career encompassed working in the City and also at major technology companies in senior marketing roles. She is an avid writer, adores football and was the first female Chairman of a football club in the top 5 divisions.
